Causeway closure 11 March 2014

Due to the very heavy rainfall we received last week, the Olifants river has risen and on a number of occasions has

flooded the causeway. At this stage the causeway is not passable due to damage on the southern side and repairs can only commence once the water has subsided substantially. Minimal damage was done on the northern approach. We will keep you updated on the situation.

Please also note that the road between Mica and Phalaborwa has been extensively damaged by the large trucks using this route, and as a result huge potholes are on both sides of the road. Please be extremely careful driving behind these trucks as they tend to weave onto the oncoming side of the road trying to avoid the massive holes.

Until next time, take care
