Wow, what a change in temperature overnight – now the puffadder will seriously be looking at hibernating!! Woke up to icy winds this morning and all the animals’ coats are standing on end bracing themselves against the bitter cold. On a chirpier note the White Bellied Sunbirds are darting in and out of the Tapinanthus parasite in the camp gardens. The parasite is thick with coral coloured flowers which must be overflowing with nectar. Joe’s roads team have begun re-surfacing the main road into the reserve, from the gate, and it’s making a huge difference. Well done team!!! The roof of the lapa is now completely bare which the thatchers will begin re-thatching this coming week. We do apologise for any noise factor that may affect you.
