News snippet 20 September 2012

Not good news today, I’m afraid. Firstly there has been an armed robbery on the fringes of Balule. Police have followed up on leads and arrests are expected soon. Olifants North continues to be vigilant and will carry on upgrading our security systems. Secondly tragedy stuck yesterday when a newly born giraffe (still had it’s umbilical cord attached) became entangled in the boundary fence with Grietjie, after perhaps having been chased by a predator. The Micky Mouse (Ocna Pulchra) bushes have burst into flower over the past day, their bright buttercup yellow flowers tightly packed against the branches releasing the most unbelievable scent, similar to jasmine.
