As you may have seen on the sightings tab on the web page it turned out to be a day for lion activity yesterday. A lioness was spotted on a zebra kill in front of unit B34 at about 7h30 by some of our staff who were on their way to work and then again in the afternoon a lioness, presumably the same one, was seen on Marula drive by James who was on his way to collect the housekeeping staff. An elephant herd was seen by Jackie yesterday afternoon heading towards Kudu pan. So it would seem that the warmer weather being experienced is bringing out the animals who have been very shy lately. The warm weather has also brought out new leaves on a Knobthorn near the office, so I think we can safely say goodbye to the winter now.
